I have negotiation and conflict resolution skills and a clear understanding of contract language as well as the ability to listen to and work with individuals and groups with differing needs and viewpoints. As a long time resident, I have a deep knowledge of local issues and a desire to serve EBT.
East Buffalo Township, is a community with a well- diversified mix in both land use and a growing population. What we need to do now is begin thinking about where we want to be 5 years from now. We need a well thought out plan that has input from all the segments of our residents. This could be done through a comprehensive survey of residents or through open public meetings to gather information. Three things that I feel are important right now are developing more parks to create a better sense of community, attention to bicycle and pedestrian safety and more co-operation and collaboration among the various local governments to see if we can provide our many services more economically and efficiently.
Former small business owner. District Rep. for two US congressmen. Newspaper reporter, radio host, speechwriter for PA’s Lt. Governor, 20+ year EBT resident. Board member of the Donald Heiter Center and BVRA. Most important, co-founder and host of the Lewisburg Woolly Worm Festival.
EBT is our unique community. We currently face no dire challenges. Our supervisors have established and maintained financial stability and I promise to stay the course, but not to the point of stagnation. There will always be potholes to patch, but also opportunities to consider. I’ve met with Police Chief Yost and am relieved the police funding dispute was settled. The Chief has assured me that our police are trained and ready, as well as aware of our community’s expectations. I also met with Fire Chief Blount and If there is one issue I see that needs attention it’s the modernization of William Cameron Engine Company’s and its EMT’s facilities and vehicles. I’m asking for your vote. If elected I will be eager and ready to serve you.
