My work at the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, as a full-time therapist, and as the president of the Erie School Board has prepared me to take our shared vision to county government. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work to build an Erie County where no one is left behind.

Growing up poor in a rural area, I saw firsthand the failures of a system that leaves so many behind—that left me and my family behind. Seeing the pain of those around me motivated me to dedicate my life to fighting for a better future for all of us. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked toward an Erie that is healthy, safe, and equitable.
I have seen up close that in order to have a prosperous economy, we need healthcare and education systems that put people first. The influx of $275 million from the American Rescue Plan provides us an unprecedented opportunity to build a prosperous future. We deserve quality healthcare for all, an economy that puts working families first, and an education system that gives every child a chance.

Post Pandemic Economic Recovery. Our global, national, state, and local economies have experienced the worst economic depression since 1929. Our children are leaving. Twenty-eight percent of Erie County small businesses have failed. The population of Erie County has declined by 10,096 people since 2017 while Erie County's spending has increased by $48.6 million per year. This pandemic has also proven the Public Health infrastructure and resources allotted by our County are underdeveloped and unable to respond timely and effectively. 24% of children in Erie County and 45% residing in The City of Erie live at or below the poverty level. 16503 has been dubbed "The poorest zip code in America". It is time for more leadership and less politics.
I have worked tirelessly to obtain a Master's degree in Economic Development, build relationships regionally with other County Commissioners, across Pennsylvania, in Washington DC, and across the nation to hit the ground running. Economic Development will prove to be the critical aspect to rebuilding our local economy and surpassing Erie's Manufacturing peak of previous decades. I plan to complete a top to bottom analysis of County wide spending, identifying areas which are wasteful, deficient, and reallocating resources to critical programs. There is one metric through which our County Executive can measure true success -Poverty. Economic Development, building infrastructure, and equitable investment is the key to prosperity for all.
