Under the Home Rule Charter, the City of Reading is divided into six districts, with each district electing one Council member. District-elected Council members represent the voice of their District and act as a body to make decisions in the best interest of the entire City. The President of Council is elected at-large as the presiding officer of Council with the same voting powers as the other six District Council members. The President interacts with the Mayor and other governmental entities and represents the voice of Council.

Reading's community has been underserved and underfunded for years. Having been born and raised here I saw the depreciation of Reading happen firsthand. The city needs someone who is going to be responsible with its funds. Our policies should help the community not hindered it.
I worked closely with grassroots organizations to promote equality and equity. I created events to register residents to vote, I fundraised for two residents and did a coat drive and a drive for underserved girls. Early this I held a community cleanup on S 7th and Bingaman. I marched with the youth last year to protest against racism.
The most important issues are city waste, economic development and providing opportunities for our youth. When in office I can bring a third party auditor to review our city's waste in budget. I promise to encourage a prosperous spirit in our community and find solutions to its depreciating buildings. Our youth will be offered more opportunities to build in the community and be encourage to pursue positions that better the community.
