I have been a life long resident of The City of Garfield Hts. I have been involved in the city government for the last decade and feel that my experience make me the best candidate for Garfield Hts.
Since becoming the Mayor in February 2021, I have improved our economic base by attracting 4 large business to the city. I have hired 7 officers and 2 firefighter addressing the needs of our safety forces. I addressed the topic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with hosting in person training for the city administrative staff. I was instrumental in the sale of Wargo Farms, a 44.7 acre piece of property in Garfield Hts to the Cleveland Metroparks. Moving forward I am on a mission to “re-define” Garfield Hts and make the city a trendy destination in Northeast Ohio.
Improving our economic base. Our city has seen many business come and go. As Mayor, I promote our position throughout Northeast Ohio. Garfield Hts is at the center of Cuyahoga County, with 180,000 vehicles traveling our I-480 corridor every day. We are within a few hours of some large municipalities. If you are looking to distribute or manufacture product in Northeast Ohio, we are your best option.
I see a need to regionalize the building departments because of lack of building inspectors.
