I believe that one of the biggest challenges will be dealing with the complexities of new, and possibly radical, changes to Election law over the next several years. Challenges for a Town Clerk are constant in areas under their purview, especially in a culture where instant access to information is expected. While I believe in easy access to public records, I also believe we need to be mindful of our resident's rights to privacy and our duty to protect their personal information. Lastly, managing the surge of incoming Land Records during this boom in the housing market is also a major priority - Our revenues have gone from $5-7 million to $16 million in just the last Fiscal Year.
