Term: 4 yearsThe county clerk’s duties range from being the secretary to the county commission to overseeing the state’s taxation duties on a county level. The clerk serves as chair of the county records commission and oversees vehicle registrations; marriage and business licenses; driver’s license renewals; fish and game permits; and applications for notaries public and pawnbrokers.

I see the most important function off the county clerk's office, is to maintaining all the records and transaction of the govenment.
The County Clerk should should be a leader. While remaining citizen focused. Also strong skills in the following reading and writing, grammar and spelling. While paying attention to details as wells as being comfortable with typing and the systems as they change. With the ability to communicate and be a team player.
