I have 49 years of experience in all areas of civil and criminal law. I have heard over 100,000 cases during my 24 years as judge. I have served at every level of the legal system from court clerk, attorney, civil mediator and judge. During my judicial service, General Sessions Court Division I has heard and processed more cases than any other court in Anderson County. I have been chosen by the TN Supreme Court and State Board of Law Examiners to regulate professional behavior and qualifications of attorney's who practice law. I have created multiple programs to reduce crime and rehabilitate offenders the most recent being a "Misdemeanor Drug Court". In summary my lifetime of experience in the legal system makes me uniquely qualified.
As continued drug addiction ravishes our community we must find alternatives to incarceration. Our legislative branch must assess the need for competent, affordable, and timely rehabilitation programs. Money invested in rehabilitation will render enormous benefits in lives saved and crime reduced.
