Ensuring that our infrastructure, schools and public services keep up with the exponential growth of our county. We must find ways to fund county services without placing undue burden on the residents of Williamson County.
If elected I will post regular updates on social media and quarterly virtual or in-person town hall meetings. I will have a 24 hour response policy to constituent emails and phone calls.
Growth, funding and teacher recruitment, retention and pay are all challenges the Williamson County school system faces. Our county commission must find creative solutions to preserving the excellent quality of our school system. As Commissioner I would encourage partnerships with developers and corporations moving to the area to not only increase funding, but give our students mentoring, job training and internship opportunities.
Funding for our public infrastructure including roads and water & sewer lines. We must make sure infrastructure has the capacity to serve our growing population while keeping drinking water safe and preventing flooding. Maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure is an on-going process with multi-year projects that will require funding and oversight.

The biggest challenge for the County Commission is growth in our county. We are projected to near the 500,000 population mark by 2040. That type of growth puts pressure on our roads, our public safety resourses, and our schools. As the funding body of the county it is imperative that we plan long-term and structure our plan to preserve our rural areas. Growth should concentrate around the municipalities and that means working with the municipalities on the urban growth boundaries. The decisions we make today will greatly impact our way of living in 2040.
I am always open to speaking to the people in my district. I can be reached directly by email or phone.
From the County Commission perspective the answer is growth. As the funding body of the county we have to keep pace with the growth of our schools and with that comes new school buildings, more teachers, more expenses, etc. We are constantly seeking ways to increase funding for our schools.
The education (schools) line of our budget is by far the largest percentage of the budget but just as important is our public safety. We have to be competitive when it comes to law enforcement pay. In addition, we have to continue to keep public safety as a primary focus.
