What qualifications do you bring to the office?
What is a major challenge facing your constituents and how will you address it?
What are the major goals you hope to achieve should you be elected to office?
I have a well-rounded diverse background with holding many leadership positions in my career. I have worked with the public for more than thirty years and served and experienced all populations. My work ethic has always been highly recognized, awarded, and I’ve been informed by my superiors that nothing is too big for me to accomplish. My Nursing background will promote health needs in Springfield. Bring deputized as a Deputy Sheriff and working in the Law Enforcement field will aid in reversing HB 3653, the crime bill as well as restore trust between Law Enforcement and the Citizens of Illinois. My background in Education will bring my first hand knowledge and experience in the classroom straight to Springfield. As an example, SB 818 is Pedophilia, Perversion, and Pornography. Students as young as kindergarten should not be introduced nor subjected to this material. The business and public health education as well as the leadership education I received prepared me for this leadership.
The major challenge facing the constituents is HB 3653, the Crime Bill. Our children no longer have normal lives. As a parent, I’m afraid to let my teenage son ride his bicycle to the local park because of shootings, gang activity, violence, etc. No citizen nor children should be afraid to walk down a road in fear. The citizens of Illinois deserve a crime-free safe neighborhood as well as a State. Criminals need to be held accountable and justice needs to be served. As your State Senator 49th District, I will pass legislation charging anyone that places there hands on or assaults a Police Office with at least a year in jail. I will also pass legislation that allows for at least a year in jail for anyone that resists arrest. And, I will ensure criminals serve at least 85% of there time in jail or prison. I will also look at and address mental health as well as drug addiction relating to crimes.
I want to repeal HB 3653, the Crime Bill, repeal SB 818, repeal the recent house bills that took the rights of parents to make decisions for there children, resolve the pension crisis before a pension collapse begins, solve and pay off the State’s debt, reduce the cost of living/reducing taxes bring residents and our businesses back to the State of Illinois.
I will maintain a staunch focus on our youth in the State, beginning, implementing, and executing programs and placing trades programs into the schools. I will ensure access to medical care for all, ensure no Veteran is homeless, and make Illinois attractive and appealing again to live here.
