Women's right, health care, and education. I have 3 daughters who see their rights being attacked almost daily at the state level. With this supreme court willing to push decisions back to the states they need an advocate who will fight for them and everyone else who's rights are being targeted in St. Paul. It is the primary reason I am running. I also listened to small businesses and farmers while I was Mayor of Zumbrota who said that having affordable health care was a top priority. I am also aware of the funding gap in education and would work to find a fair and equitable way to approach bridging that disparity.
As Mayor I was involved in the voting process in my town. Most of the election officials I've known my whole life. I do not think the system is broken. I've seen it work first hand. I would listen to those who say how it can be improved and if it was in the best interests of the people of MN and SD20 I would work to affect that change.
For me it's about rights, health care, and education. To the extent we can improve all three for everyone in the state of MN I am all in.
That's a complicated question. I would listen to experts about how to best do both. I happen to believe in science and experts.
As a gun owner I believe in responsible gun ownership. I also believe there are those who should never own guns. I think there are common sense ways to reduce gun violence that most people understand are necessary.
