My priorities are to fully fund our schools, along with free breakfast/lunch meals for our students to have an equal opportunity to succeed. To provide mental health resources in our schools and workplaces; to have strong, healthy minds, we can do and accomplish the impossible together. To make sure politicians and the government does not intervene in making choices for Women’s Rights, such as abortion. This would be very dangerous for MN and make healthcare for women reproductive rights unsafe and harmful. To support the Bonding Bill so that jobs and infrastructure are maintained, and safety on worksites be kept to high standards.
MN has a great track record making voting safe and secure, and away from election fraud. Our state comes out to vote and our local election officials and Secretary of State Steve Simon, from beginning to end, makes sure each ballot is verified and counted once. I trust our election system because I trust in our Democracy, and those who try to tamper and take that away - our freedom to vote, should be prosecuted.
As a real estate agent, a top issue for me is affordable housing. Individuals and families have a right to a safe and secure home environment to live in, no matter of race and ethnic background. I believe apprenticeships and internships will also help with racial and ethnic disparities in the job force and livable wages, giving everyone a fair chance to succeed in the workforce and make a livable wage for themselves and their families.
We must keep jobs in MN and in America, build and manufacture here on American soil to keep up with the demand and help correct inflation and high costs passed-on to consumers. We need to support our local farmers so that foods are grown here on MN fertile soil and help farmers combat global warming and drought to increase crop yields at harvest time. We must invest in technical colleges, apprenticeships, and internships to keep MN labor workforce strong.
I believe gun safety is a must and a priority, especially what is happening here in MN and around the country with school shootings and in public places. Guns need to be locked up in safe and cable gun locks should be on all guns. I am a hunter and supporter, but being a gun owner means responsibilities for having a gun. I support universal background checks, 7-day waiting period and Red-flag laws for the safety of all people.
