If elected I will continue to serve our community by:             Funding schools             Expanding access to healthcare             Preserving individual rights and privacy             Ensuring public safety             Providing economic opportunity
Minnesota already has safe and secure elections.  We must keep same-day registration, maintain the ease and security of no-excuse early voting, and protect vote by mail.  I will not support unnecessary efforts like voter ID, provisional ballots, or purging voter rolls based on inactivity.
I will continue to support the Teachers of Color Act and programs that focus on closing the achievement gap.  We must increase funding for programs aimed at minority-owned businesses.
-A thriving economy requires a well-educated and healthy populace. -Helping businesses with PPP loans during COVID kept many employers and employees afloat.  -Shovel-ready jobs are waiting for Senate cooperation on existing bills. -Protecting workers’ rights helps all companies attract and retain workers.  -Inflation is a global problem, but locally we can encourage commuters to use public transit, pass a gas tax holiday, and expand support for food pantries to meet increased demand.
We must require comprehensive background checks and pass “red flag” laws.  In addition to supporting policing, we must seek to prevent crime through crisis intervention, mental health resources, and community safety programs.
