As an Austin native and community leader, it’s been an honor to serve on City Council the past 4 years. My wife Katie and I are proudly raising our young family in Austin and I will continue playing a positive role in building Austin’s bright future.

I am deeply involved in our community, especially in the areas of economic development (Austin Port Authority & DCA), building a welcoming community (APEX Austin and former Chair of the Human Rights Commission), and engaging local kids (volunteer Sunday School teacher and youth sports coach).

Over the past 4 years I’ve delivered proven results by fighting against major tax increases and helping expand new home construction, attract new businesses, and increase law enforcement funding.
1.IMPROVE HOUSING SUPPLY. This is Austin’s #1 growth barrier and we need to accelerate the progress we’ve started making. 2.BUILD A SAFE & STRONG COMMUNITY. Making Austin a great place to live starts with public safety and continues with vibrant quality of life and an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. 3.ENHANCING LOCAL ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES. We must expand our tax base by attracting new companies and ensuring our local employers have access to the workforce they need to flourish.
Public safety is the most essential function of government. On the local level, there are 2 things we must do. First, we need to ensure that law enforcement has the tools they need to keep us safe. I’ve proudly supported increases in funding for Austin PD and will continue working closely with them to understand their challenges and ensure they have what they need. Second, I will continue working to build a welcoming community where all residents feel like they have a stake Austin’s future.
