Información Biográfica

What is the most important issue facing your Single Member District and how do you intend to address it?

How will you engage with residents to be an effective Commissioner, especially reaching those who are unfamiliar with the role and value of ANCs?

Is there a question you wish we had asked? If so, what is the question and how would you answer it?

I think COVID-19 unfortunately remains a top issue even though the worst is hopefully behind us. ANCs can help address it by making sure residents are able to receive timely and accurate information about existing and new vaccines/boosters, testing, emerging variants, and levels of community transmission.

Surges in traffic-related deaths coincided with the pandemic, both citywide and here in Ward 3, and as ANC I will listen to constituents on ways to reverse this trend and work with city partners to make our streets safer for everyone.
Before the pandemic, the public meetings of many ANCs could be difficult for your average resident to follow because they required you to attend in person at a set time and place when many people might be working or making their kids dinner. ANC meeting minutes can be vague and also take a long time to be posted.

Our ANC, even before the pandemic, has been a leader in making videorecording of the meetings available to the public on-demand. I will work to ensure we keep that transparency, including if we return to in-person meetings, and build on it by reaching out to groups of residents who the ANCs typically do not hear from.
