Información Biográfica

What is the most important issue facing your Single Member District and how do you intend to address it?

How will you engage with residents to be an effective Commissioner, especially reaching those who are unfamiliar with the role and value of ANCs?

Is there a question you wish we had asked? If so, what is the question and how would you answer it?

Qualifications I have served as the ANC 5A03 Commissioner since 2019. I have lived in my neighborhood since 2007 and have been actively involved in the North Michigan Park Civic Association as well as the Greater Brookland area.
Traffic safety. We have many issues related to speeding, not stopping at stop signs, the need for speed humps, people driving through alleys to avoid traffic. I have been working with DDOT over the last four years. we have added speed humps, sidewalks, truck enforcement cameras, cross walk beacons and speed cameras. I will continue to push for measures to improve the safety for all of our residents.
I am always out walking in the neighborhood and introduce myself to residents and explain my role and how to get connected. I started an email list three years ago that continues to grow. I am planning on a meet and greet with our new neighbors from a new housing development. I find the best way to reach my neighbors is to get out and talk with them.
What are the other priorities in your SMD?

The other priorities in my SMD are making sure that development fits our community. I have been working with the various planned developments to ensure they are aware of the concerns of our residents and able to address these needs.

In addition, we continue to have issues with rats that I have been working with DOH to address.

Over the last four years I have built up many contacts in the city government and it is important to continue to work with them to ensure that our neighborhood concerns remain front and center as a priority.
