I’ve lived my whole life in Cosmos, nearly 65 years. During this time, I’ve watched many cultural and political changes take place, some good, some not so good. City, state, country, world; things have always changed and always will. Regardless, time moves on, as does the city and it’s residents, hopefully for the better. I believe my life lessons as a resident and a public relations (business) person qualify me to be a decent and conscientious city council member. I wish to do my civic duty by listening to the thoughts and concerns of the residents while serving on the city council. I will certainly try my darnedest to do what’s best and right for Cosmos.
1. Be closely involved in the inner workings of city government to understand better how things work. 2. Get the residents of Cosmos to be more involved in city issues and initiatives. 3. Encourage residents to contact me with ideas and concerns. Complaints are fine, but answers are better. If we all work together, we can continue to make Cosmos a great place to live.
Community safety begins by getting to know your neighbor. Good neighbors watch out for each other and their property-Both sides care. If a disagreement does come up, be it barking dog or loud vehicle, you know them-talk to them. In case it doesn’t work, you may have to consult with a council member or the sheriff’s department for advice. Both are there to help. Finally, if you see something that doesn’t look right, say something! Remember, look out for your neighbor and stay safe!
