As a previous councilman of the Dilworth City Council , 2014-20017, I feel I have the knowledge and experience to be the best possible contributing member of the city's governing body. I served on the park board for approx. 5 years, then as council liaison to park board while I was on the council. I have a commonsense approach and encourage public participation and new ideas. I also have the perspective of government and how it works from being a City of Moorhead employee for 24 years. I have a working knowledge of the public utilities, water, sewer, stormwater and flood water mitigation. Being retired from the City of Moorhead, I will have plenty of time to dedicate to being a council member.
Initiate programs to promote the growth of the City of Dilworth . To be available to citizens of Dilworth to answer questions, concerns and listen to new approaches. Promote parks and community recreation.
By making sure the city maintenance department, volunteer fire department and police department have the necessary up to date tools to do their job well.

I would like to keep Dilworth a strong and vibrant community. As a current Dilworth planning commissioner, we’ve had the opportunity to forward to the city council recommendations on businesses, housing developments, and projects.

I’ve been very active in attending the city council meetings and have gained a good understanding of the council’s function.

I’ve been present on discussions of budgeting, law enforcement issues, infrastructure projects, housing developments, new business plans, and understanding the discussion which takes place.

I’ve come before the council many times and have expressed my ideas and opinions.

It would be an honor to represent the Dilworth residents.

Property taxes are always a concern. Dilworth needs to maintain and keep improving its infrastructure. Many improvements have been made and I’ll be a good steward of the city’s finances on future projects.

I’ll continue to promote new business and housing projects, thus increasing the city’s tax base.

Safety is important. I’ll continue to foster relationships with law enforcement and residents. I’ll work at being inclusive with residents across the city.
I’ll remain active in the “Safe Routes to Schools” program and the Highway 10 realignment project. This will require a combined effort from the City of Dilworth, school board, citizen input, and Metro COG.

I’d like to find ways and work at being inclusive with all residents of Dilworth.

I’ll work with and continue the programs which exist, which develop the relationships between law enforcement and the residence of Dilworth.
