I believe this positions core "job" is to listen. I decided I would run when after attending multiple council meetings. I noticed some members too often play on their phones, roll their eyes and other wise disrespect citizens that came to voice concerns.

I understand that I don't always have to like what someone says, I don't have to agree with them. I do however owe the people my time, my ear and set aside any assumptions I might have to understand the root to the concerns they raise.
I want to see Jackson grow and our community thrive. To do this we need a plan. Throwing ideas at a wall to see what sticks haphazardly is not helpful.

I would like to focus on repairing, maintaining and growing our infrastructure. That said I understand that I will need to shift my focus to address concerns of the citizenry.
I have been an instructor for FEMA's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) as well as being SARTECH II trained by the National Association of Search & Rescue.

I would love to use this background to host public trainings and to establish neighborhood watch groups and bolster any existing groups. Also a solid technical infrastructure will allow for our community to be better informed when issues arise.
