The goal will not only be to reduce vacant property within the city, but to address the problem by combating the issues of some neglected properties. This involves holding homeowners accountable for their properties. Additional interest is with residential rental properties, creating an annual registration with property management for maintenance.
I have been a longtime resident of Bel-Nor, being involved on community engagement and development. Since being an alderman, I have helped facilitate two major grants benefiting community development. I made strategic changes in parking for public safety on specific streets pertaining to emergency vehicles, in addition to proposing, passing and ratifying ordinances.
