For several years real estate taxes that our residents pay have risen either 2% or more annually. Fresh perspectives are needed on how to manage costs and bring in new revenue. The homeowner of the average assessed home of $648,000 in Florham Park has seen their taxes increased by $800 in a very short time.
Additionally, our schools are asked to do more with less funding. That can negatively impact a generation of children in their formative years and it is both important and urgent that we address this challenge.
I have a BA in Political Science from Montclair State where I also completed a Minor in Government Administration. I hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I’ve held licenses in Mortgage Banking, P&C Insurance, and more.
Professionally, I have many years of experience in the financial services and professional services industries, currently serving as Director of Learning & Development for a Top 50 Accounting Firm. At PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) I was identified as a “Pro Bono Professional”. Indeed, I led the 65,000-employee firm’s financial literacy initiative in New Jersey. I was responsible for having introduced/taught free financial literacy lessons to 7,000 K-12 NJ students. That included 1,000+ Florham Park's Ridgedale Middle, Brooklake Elementary, and Holy Family Catholic School. Indeed, Financial literacy for all students in Florham Park, K – 8, is one of my three platform messages. I can effect that positive educational change and at no cost to the taxpayer.
As a Leadership Morris Class of 2016 Alum, I worked with a Morris County Division to bring services to the students of Brooklake Elementary School, establishing it as a regular program for 3rd Graders, again, at no additional cost to our taxpayers.
As Sergeant at Arms of Florham Park Rotary, I have teamed with several fellow business and community leaders to benefit Florham Park in many ways. As AARP Membership Chair I work closely with Senior citizens.
