Dover Town operates using the Town form of government and is governed by a Mayor and Board of Aldermen. The Mayor is elected at-large to a four-year term of office. The Board of Aldermen consists of eight members, with two Aldermen elected to two-year terms from each of the four wards on a staggered basis, with one Aldermanic seat coming up for election each year in each ward.[

What do you consider the most important challenge(s) facing your town and how would plan to address it/them?
What in you personal and/or professional experience prepares you for this office?
Dover is booming. Our downtown area is on the verge of a massive renewal, thanks to a new 214-unit multi-use complex that’s due to be completed in the next 6-8 months. The next Mayor and Board will have very difficult decisions to make in terms of development, and making the wrong ones could stop Dover’s momentum in its tracks.
I plan to continue with our smart growth policies, with a focus on bringing more good paying jobs to town. The housing is there, now we need to keep the people that live there as close to home as possible.
Above all, I view an elected official as a customer service professional. They must know not only how to communicate, but how to listen, and how to delegate.
I bring over 15 years of professional customer service experience to the table. Literally every job I have ever held has been customer service oriented, because that’s the role I thrive in. I get immense satisfaction in being able to help people, but if I can’t, will do my best to determine who can.
