COMMISSION / MAYORCollingswood operates under the Walsh Act commission form of New Jersey municipal government. Three non-partisan commissioners are elected at-large on a concurrent basis in elections held as part of the May municipal election to serve four-year terms of office. Each commissioner is assigned a specific department to head in addition to their legislative functions. The commissioners select one of their members to serve as mayor.
