Brief background bio (a single paragraph): Born and raised in WIlmington DE. and graduated from Salesianum High School. I joined the U.S. Navy and Served on Submarines until 1993. I left active duty and joined the Delaware Army National Guard for 1 enlistment and then returned to Navy as a Seabee. I served 2 tours of duty in Iraq as a Seabee. I remained in the Navy Reserves until I retired in 2015. I have been married since 1998 and have 3 children. When not serving in the military I volunteered as a Baseball Coach, initially in the Elsmere League and then in CAL. I also Coached CYM 7-8 grades Football for St Elizabeth's. My family is involved with the Delaware Buddy Walk and have raised several thousands for the Downs Syndrome Association of Delaware. I was the Post Commander for VFW Post 475 in Newark and while in that position the National Organization named me an All American Commander. We raised and gave out thousands of dollars to those in need. Currently I am a full time employee of the State of Delaware.
I was raised with a strong sense of duty and service to others. I see a problem in Elsmere and instead of complaining I wish to put my strengths to use in service to my local community. I have been attending Town Meetings for almost a year now and I am not pleased by what I see. I see a Town where many of the City Council Members are overly influenced by one or two people who are working together on their own agenda. Multiple times I have spoken out to remind them that they serve the Public not the other way around. Much of what they do is to obscure from the public what is actually happening in our Town and I want to put a stop to that. There is a surprising lack of common sense or transparency in Town Hall and it needs to be fixed for the peoples sake.
There are a number of issues that I see. My top priority is to find a resolution to our flooding problem in my District. Also the roads in my District are in need of repair and have been temporarily patched multiple times. These repairs need to happen sooner rather than later. Additionally transparency of goings on at Town Hall needs to be included. I will be working to encourage people in my District as well as others to attend the Town Hall and see what is going on. I wish to make sure that the services we receive at the expense of our tax dollars is appropriate and that fair business is maintained throughout. We can not go on with businesses failing to maintain their end of contracts without good reason and we need better oversight of the way our Town Manager is spending the tax payers dollars. Finally I would like to work to bring in businesses to our community and possibly make it a place for people to visit. We have a great Town and we can always improve on it.
I will ensure that everyone can contact me via Phone, Text, Email or Social Media. I have several who have already reached out to me on FB Messenger.
A position of Public trust make me a servant of the people not someone who wants to enforce his will on others. I believe that there is no one person that is more important than another person in our country. I will do what is right no matter what. I take it very seriously that I can look at myself in the mirror. If I make a promise I will level mountains to keep my promise. I love my God, I love my family and I love my County and will sacrifice myself for them. To make changes at the highest level of Government we need to fix the foundation first, which is local Government.
The best thing about our town is its citizens. People walk on the streets in the neighborhood and say hello as they pass. We have a nice community here.

The worst thing is obvious, our town has reputation as a speed trap. I don't think it is pronounced as it used to be however. We need to make the streets of our town more visually appealing so that we can bring in new and possibly unique businesses. We have a number of great businesses but we need to make it easier for them to do business.
