Qualifications 39 years experience in public education. Retired Executive Director of IU 21. Administrator, teacher. Past President Pa Council for Exceptional Children. Former Mayor of Slatington Pa, Parent and Grand parent.
One Board member alone cannot affect change. School Directors are one of nine who must work together with administration, as a team, to positively affect change and continue the educational processes. School Directors have a few specific roles under the school code. 1. Hire and evaluate the superintendent. 2. Approve Board and District policy. 3. Approve a budget annually. 4. Advocate for public education 5. Serve as a liaison to the public. 6. Support and uphold legislation and the Constitution, including the Governors Executive Orders and PDE guidelines. 7. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff and students of the Northern Lehigh School District.
