With all my experience in 21 years of healthcare. I have learned to be voice for the voiceless. I have an open mind and willingness to learn more as you can never stop learning something new. I will always have the willingness to work with everyone.
I strongly believe we are truly blessed that we have the most amazing teachers and staff working with our children everyday to provide the best education possible with the difficult circumstances we are in right now with the COVID19 pandemic. I understand the hardships our students face with virtual learning. Virtual learning is not an easy task for everyone as it can seriously effect a student mental health. I am a strong believer giving parents/guardians multiple options for their children education during this pandemic whether it be 4 days in person, hybrid option or completely virtual should be choices our school district should offer to make sure our schools have a safe and healthy learning environment.

A safe education begins with comprehensive planning for various scenarios & changes to instructional models. I will commit to researching & analyzing accurate data. I would utilize the information to promote these measures for student success: technological access & support; mental health & social services, easy access to resources for parents, additional after school & summer academic support, tutoring & online educational resources, providing safe extracurricular activities, effectively utilizing government funding to provide adequate staffing, renting additional space for classrooms, PPE & cleaning supplies, ventilation upgrades & student needs. Equitable access to resources is key for students to achieve academic milestones.

I will make sure to support all
Measures that are recommends to us and vote to keep students well educated. Students who are doing well in school or who have the ability to learn in person will have the best overall well being.
We need to add kids to be in person all week adhering to as many protocols as possible. This way they can safely learn.

Lifelong Whitehall resident and former Zephyr; strong communication skills and passion for open and truthful dialogue, especially in times of stressful, delicate matters; substantial knowledge and training in the medical and mental health fields.
Many hardships have occurred in our education system leading to loss of learning and damage to our youth’s emotional well-being. I advocate collaborating with other local districts and communities. I have worked to educate myself on the roles of a school board as well as issues not within a school board’s control. I will set a standard of respect that our youth will look to adopt. I can interpret data of unbiased medical literature. As a mental health practitioner, I am aware of the related struggles our children are facing. I will work to ensure our children have as wonderful an experience as I did as a former Zephyr. As a professional and a mother, I advocate without reservation for the option to return to full-time in-person instruction.

Love how this questions is phrased. The education of our students is paramount and a return to the classroom is absolutely necessary. While remote/virtual learning will need to be continued in some form for learning continuity, the classroom has to be a main focus for education, social development, and overall mental health of our students. This is a well rounded focus for the continual development of students and there educational pursuit.

As a current member of the Whitehall-Coplay School Board, our role is to provide Governance to the WCSD Administration. I continue to support our administration and faculty to ensure they have all of the tools necessary to provide the greatest learning opportunities and structure that our students deserve. We have provided multiple options of learning over the past year to ensure that all of our students in the district can determine what works best for them and their families. While this past year has been challenging, our district has shown compassion, perseverance, incredible drive and determination to meet the needs of every Whitehall-Coplay student. Education and safety must always be in forefront of our decision making process.
