Cooperstown Central School District School Board {_getChooseLabel(this.selections.length)}
A school board member works with other board members to create a shared vision for the school district, establish district goals and set priorities, and oversee the general operation of the district. Board members also establish the district’s educational program, adopt and maintain policies, approve and adopt the annual budget, hire and evaluate the superintendent and ratify collective bargaining agreements. Members are expected to maintain high standards of governance, strong ethical standards, and good community relations. There are seven members on the Cooperstown Central School Board. Members serve three-year terms; the terms are staggered.
