Jackie is a 3rd-generation Greenwich native, where her family still resides, graduate of Greenwich Public Schools & Roger Williams University. She is an accomplished businesswoman, with 20 years experience as a Greenwich realtor. Jackie is an active volunteer, including EC member of St Roch Church.
I have run a successful real estate business built on customer service, trust, integrity & deep knowledge of our great town. Throughout my career I've had firsthand experience with land use records both online & in person.I have built strong relationships with many key real estate attorneys & title searchers, heavy users of the clerk’s office.I am entrusted with important information & realize how important our vital records are, from birth certificates & marriage licenses to absentee ballot process & RTM records. I'm a savvy user of technology, excel at people management & team building.
I will continue with the key modernizing initiatives set to digitize Town Records. I will continue working with TAPP to ensure a continued smooth process in working alongside NEDCC. To date all land records back to 1937 are preserved & available online as well as all town clerk maps. This is an ongoing process that will continue & we will follow progress as systems improve & always leverage the best systems available to our town. The clerk’s office has applied for & received a yearly grant for over 10 years for the purpose of records preservation.I will ensure we continue the grant process.
I would work with the town IT department and all of the elected officials to come to an agreed upon process. In hopes to ensure a quick, secure and accessible process.
Lifelong Cos Cob resident. Attended NMS, EMS and GHS. BA, Mount Holyoke College. Longtime community volunteer. Vice Chair District 8 RTM, Budget Overview Committee. Skadden Arps paralegal. Thirteen/WNET, TIME Magazine consumer marketing and administrative professional.
I'm a warm, friendly person and I will bring that energy to the Office to create an open and inviting atmosphere. The essence of the role lies in providing excellent customer service for which I've been acknowledged professionally. My extensive administrative experience is well suited. I’m adept at managing a heavy workload and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, essential to this job with its hundreds of state-mandated responsibilities. I’m an active and involved RTM member. As the Town Clerk is also the RTM Secretary, I'm already very familiar with the work in this area.
It is vital to preserve town records electronically too and this undertaking should be more robust also to facilitate an easier process for users of the Clerk's services. Greenwich is behind some peer CT towns. There is a state grant program for funding and I will apply at every chance. It also may be that some records might be consolidated to achieve efficiencies. To ensure accuracy and integrity I would also consult the CT Town Clerks Association for best practices and in December I will take the Municipal Records Management course as part of the CT Certified Town Clerks curriculum.
Absolutely! All elected officials contact data should be readily available on the town website so it is easy and quick for the public to communicate. At present the information is inconsistent or non-existent (e.g. email addresses) and there are too many steps. Reaching town leaders should be simple. I propose a sidebar on the Government main page entitled "Elected Officials Contact Information" which would bring up a list maintained by the Clerk of ALL officials in one place with appropriate data including Board of Education members, thereby eliminating the need to link to the GPS site.
