Safety. Fostered by pride in our City, community involvement, robust police and fire departments. Creating a vibrant, welcoming, healthy city through promoting parks, community activities and a variety of great experiences like the Zoo, Valleywood Golf, and our terrific park system. Bringing more good jobs and a wider economic base for AV. We need to be a balanced city: varied housing options, great retail choices, office, and tech/industrial businesses.
Safety is the fruit of an economically healthy, mutually involved, group of active residents. Not just more police. I thoroughly support our police, first responders, but they cannot be everywhere. Presence alone will not deter bad behavior. Pride in our City, respect for each other, and the opportunity to flourish here are key. Getting to know your neighbors through activities like Night to Unite, Winter Fest, 4th of July parade, fireworks, Memorial Day programs, create the framework for safety
