I was appointed to the Eagle Lake City Council in 2021 to fill a vacancy. I have enjoyed serving my friends and neighbors, working towards the betterment of the community. My employment history includes working as the CIO for a county-based health plan for over 12 years, where I also served on the Minnesota Health Information board for several years. This experience has been invaluable to helping me understand how local, county and state government works.

As an 18-year a resident of Eagle Lake, I have been an active civic volunteer. I have participated as a member of the Eagle Lake EDA board for many years. I have served on many volunteer boards serving the youths of our community.
I will continue to serve the constituents of Eagle Lake by being active on the council, ensuring that we continue to be a good steward of public funds. It’s important that the council and City continue to be visionary, consistently looking to the future to maintain the services that are required by the citizens while growing our City. I will continue to work on keeping our neighborhoods safely connected. A connected community is stronger, more resilient, and safer.
Community safety is always top of mind. When council decisions are made, I strive to inquire how it might affect the safety of our residents and community. As a council, we consistently work with the police department and fire department to ensure they have what they need. We work with civic groups and residents to cultivate ideas on how to keep our children safe on their way to school. We chose to raise our family here and I don’t want to see the safety of our growing community decline.
