I believe that, as community stakeholders, everyone in our district should have access to an impartial ear to express personal concerns regarding the education of our students. I take pride in my ability to listen to differing opinions, with a non-partisan mindset, and be that voice on the school board that spurs healthy dialogue on potentially delicate issues. I feel that this attribute sets me apart from the other candidates. Lastly, as your choice of School Board Member, I will continue to be a worthy conduit to let your voice be heard by the board.
First, Foster and promote continued collaboration with fellow board members to maintain a functional and effective school board. Second, Call for a refocus of our vision to educate our students in the fundamentals of Math, Reading, and Science without unnecessary distractions (ie. social wokeness, politics, and/or gender ideology). Lastly, Advocate for more community attendance at board meetings via more advanced notice and broader public postings of agendas beyond the current practices.
First, I would start by assessing the current Safe Environment protocols in place. Second, query the staff and teachers to gain their perspective as to what can be improved and/or reinforced. Third, call to form a network group of staff and teachers to study pertinent information to outline, develop, and ultimately promote an improved Safe Environment procedural protocol. Lastly, Run trials, review, assess, modify, and repeat accordingly.
