I have lived in Minnetrista for close to 30 years and love this city. We have much to be thankful for in Minnetrista and I want to maintain and support the outstanding quality of life afforded to all of us that live here. I strongly believe that government works best when elected officials are only focused on answering to and delivering positive outcomes to all the citizens of Minnetrista. I bring decades of practical executive business management experience in budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, sales, consulting, collaboration, and bringing people together to achieve revenue and market exposure goals.
If elected I promise to: 1. Continue the carefully managed growth and preservation of our beautiful, natural, healthy environment and live within the bounds of what our natural resources can support. 2. I will always put first the respect and care of your hard-earned tax dollars by keeping our city living within the bounds of fiscal responsibility. 3. I promise to always carefully consider Minnetrista citizen's safety, needs, desires, and future community benefit in mind in all decisions.
Public safety begins with each of us being active and invested in our neighborhoods. Just being friendly and caring for each other makes a neighborhood safer and the jobs for our police much easier. When my neighborhood had a rash of petty thefts and one break-in, working with our Public Safety department I organized a Neighborhood Watch group. All petty theft ended immediately after organizing my small community. I have hosted National Night Out for my own neighborhood for many years.

Seven years on the Planning Commission has taught me that good governance is essential. I am the lone candidate with experience in Minnetrista City government. Our city is on the edge of the growing metro area. I have sought to balance thoughtful growth with maintaining the rural character of our city on the Planning Commission and on the yearlong 2040 Citizens committee that crafted a 350-page guide for carrying these values into the future. During my over 35-year career in financial services, my job has been to practice fiscal responsibly. I will use our tax dollars wisely. My Planning Commission experience and knowledge gained over my career gives me a fiscally responsible long-term outlook that will benefit the city.
1.Use my Planning Commission experience to guide controlled development while protecting our lakes and rural character. 2.Work to form a collation of cities along the important Highway 7 corridor to engage the Minnesota Department of Transportation to increase safety and efficiency. 3.Use my financial background wisely to get the best return on our tax dollars.
1. Support Chief Falls in offering competitive pay to qualified officer candidates-but not a penny more. 3. Be open to hiring an additional officer as the city's population increases and the need is justified. 4. Educate citizens through the website and newsletter, The Annual Night Out is a great way for neighbors to meet each other and learn to look out for each other. 5. Listen to citizen concerns about unsafe pedestrian or road conditions and come up with solutions.
