Experience - I am currently serving on the City Council having been appointed to a vacant seat at the beginning of 2022. I have over seven years of experience on the Buffalo City Planning Commission and have served on the Community Development focus group, Downtown Development focus group and the EDA Advisory Board which is currently working with Wright County and the City of Buffalo to plan for the eventual sale and development of County property in downtown Buffalo. This experience will allow me to be an effective and contributing member of the Council from day one.
Exploring ways to control utilities costs, particularly electricity, to help make Buffalo an affordable place to live.

Continue to focus on reducing the City's debt and to work towards better ability for the city to capitalize more of the expenses and avoid more bonding.

Make sure the County property in downtown Buffalo is developed with a vision of combining high quality housing, retail and entertainment and green space.
I will continue the current dialogue with our Police Chief to make sure issues are brought to the Council's attention and dealt with in an appropriate and thoughtful manner. On current item related to this is the recent edibles legislation passed in MN. No specific licensing or zoning requirements were included in the bill but there were stipulations as to the amount of THC, package sizes and age restrictions. I'm working with city staff and the Police Dept. to address this topic.
