1. Education: I believe that most of the issues we have in our country today can be solved by investing more into education and teaching our children how to live in a constantly changing world. 2. Healthcare: We should take care of each other when the worst happens but we should also be able to take care of ourselves. This ties in with education. We need policies that empower and encourage people to be healthy while helping those who need it the most. 3. Energy: We are going to run out of dead dinosaurs eventually. We need to use what we have now to build the infrastructure needed for new technologies.
Any law that looks to restrict access to voting is wrong in my book. If you are 18 and live in this country, you should have the ability to help influence the way it is run.
We are all human. I do not like that we have to even talk about racial and ethnic disparities. Until we can grow up as a race of humans I will support any legislation that helps bridge the divide between peoples equality.
We need to close down tax loopholes for the rich and the large corporations and invest into our schools. Better schools will attract people. More people means more opportunities for small businesses to flourish. Keeping small town America alive revolves around it's schools. Invest in the kids and you invest in your future.
We need to have universal background checks. Every gun should be registered just like every car has to be. Every time a gun passes hands the registration should have to be updated. We need better mental health care and we need better schools. We need to give the people a reason to be proud of themselves and where they come from.
