-Rebuild the Economy & Tackle Inflation: With record gas prices, inflation, and cost of living, Minnesotans deserve to keep more of their hard-earned paycheck. With a record surplus, it's time the state allows Minnesotans to grow their own savings. -Restore Public Safety: Minnesotans deserve safe communities without crime putting their well-being at risk. I'll support law enforcement, strengthen sentencing guidelines for violent offenders, and ensure our criminal justice system prioritizes safety over political activism. -Educational Excellence: Students deserve an education that focuses on the skills needed for success and fulfillment. I will prioritize academics, mental health, and safety of students over divisive politics.
I'm in favor of providing state-issued IDs to every Minnesotan eligible to vote. In doing so, we can cut disparities, have voter ID, and ensure our elections are not delegitimized for political gain or grievance.
I'm an advocate for opportunity zones in historically underserved communities which increases employment, grows a stable tax-base, and incentivizes urban investment. By providing tax credits to businesses located within the community and strengthening public safety, families will have a prosperous place to live, work, and raise a family.
I will support polices that attract, retain, and increase business opportunities here in Minnesota. Currently, bureaucratic red-tape and ineffective mandates are dissuading businesses from settling in Minnesota. To have a prosperous economy and access to affordable goods, the state needs to encourage entrepreneurial endeavors rather than impede them. I'll work to make Minnesota a hub for future markets and remove the self-imposed barriers that currently hold us back.
1) Enforce the laws in place: County Prosecutors such as John Choi, have stopped prosecuting felonies resulting from low-level traffic stops, which account for 80% of all illegal firearms confiscated in MN. I'll end this dereliction of duty and ensure laws are enforced. 2) Hold Criminals Accountable: Having worked in the criminal division of Hennepin and Ramsey County, I saw lenient sentencing guidelines directly result in more victims of crime. It's time to strengthen the guidelines.

If elected, my top three priorities will be: ensuring our students are safe, supported, and that they have the resources and skills they need to be successful in school and beyond; ensuring that our communities are safe and secure and that we are adequately addressing the needs of victims of crime; and ensuring that Minnesotans have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and that we're doing what we can to combat climate change, which is already impacting our state in significant ways. These priorities are informed by conversations that I've had with community members as well as my personal experience as a mom, attorney, and veteran.
Minnesota has a history of civic engagement and high rates of voter turnout and we should do what we can to continue that trend. As a legislator I will support adequate funding for elections infrastructure and will scrutinize any proposals that seek to change laws pertaining to voting so that I truly understand the impact of these changes. I will push back on efforts to erect barriers to voting and support efforts to make it easier to exercise our right to vote.
As a legislator I will support legislation that would provide more funding for first-time homebuyer programs; increase funding for early childhood programs and child care subsidies; increase investment in recruiting, training, retaining, and promoting Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers; require analysis of cumulative pollution and health impacts in low-income and BIPOC communities; invest in recruiting and retaining doulas from BIPOC communities, and more.
I will support paid family and medical leave legislation, which is good for families, communities, and small businesses. I will advocate for increased funding for childcare across the state to ensure that families can work and businesses can find employees. I will support targeted tax relief for those most in need - not big corporations or billionaires. I will support investments in workforce development and business assistance programs.
As a legislator I will support common sense gun violence prevention legislation such as universal background checks, red flag laws, and gun storage requirements. I will also support efforts to increase funding for and access to mental health services, domestic violence services and shelters, and violence intervention and prevention programs, specifically those that target youth.
