Support Legislation preserving and protecting a woman's right to choose what is best for their own healtcare. Hwy 65 runs through the heart of this district. It currents sees usage averaging 130% daily capacity. It is over capacity and unsafe, we need to fast track improvements for this roadway. We need to fully fund education in Minnesota. Every child in Minnesota has a right to a quality education regardless of zip code. This includes funding necessary safety and support staff.
Minnesota has been the standard barrier for elections for the country for how they are managed and for turnout. I would make sure that would not change.
Fully fund schools with the highest education opportunity gap and lowest Black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) graduation rates; Ensure enforcement of BIPOC contract and workforce participation goals for public projects. Investment in recruitment and retention of BIPOC teachers and health care providers.
Although the economic outlook in regards to inflation may look a lot different in November, under current conditions, I would support offering stimulus rebates from Minnesota state surplus and a temporary gas tax holiday.
I do support the Second Amendment, but believe common sense reforms are long over due. I support Universal Background checks and Red Flag laws. Update the laws to prohibit "ghost guns" and raise the minimum age to purchase Assault Style guns to 21. I would also support investment in gun safety and training.
