First, our economy and workforce have changed drastically in the past few decades, our policies have unfortunately not changed with them. We need to make it easier to start and support small businesses, ensure wages are fair, and to pass policies that make it easier to work while supporting a family. Second, I believe that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their zip code. We need to ensure our schools are fully funded so our children receive the best education. Last, we can all agree that preserving our way of life means preserving the natural resources that make this such a great place to live. It also means striking a balance between enacting green initiatives and protecting the jobs that working families rely on.
We do a fantastic job of keeping and ensuring our elections are safe and secure. I would continue to ensure we pass legislation that does just that. Minnesotans always get out and vote but we need to continue reaching all voters. Some of Minnesota’s districts are large and we need to ensure that the voters have access to vote in person. Thankfully, we are a state that allows our voters to vote via absentee ballot, but we need to ensure the option to vote via absentee ballot is always available.
I will always support legislation to address racial and ethnic disparities. We need to ensure that we create communities that support all. We need all of our citizens to thrive.
Rising inflation is a great concern for everyone. While in the legislature, I will do everything I can to ensure we continue to have a vibrant economy in Minnesota.
I support all common sense gun laws.
