I have many years of great experience and I am open to new ideas and approaches.
community safety, healthy environment and continued healthy growth
Supporting our peace officers. They do many wonderful connecting events with community members and neighbors. They are up on the latest training as well.
Every candidate brings strengths, but I feel I excel in the realm of asking lots of questions, keeping an open mind, and taking responsibility for my actions/inaction. I am not only a resident but a business owner in North Mankato, my kids and grandkids live in North Mankato, so I feel the impact of the council's decisions on both the business side and residential side of things.
1. Continue the hard work in how to keep youth ice sports available. I'm North Mankato's representative on the ASA board and there's a lot of work ahead to keep it running. I always try to complete everything I start.

2. Budgeting. Continue to be a responsible steward of public money and push for less spending on wants vs. needs.

3. Affordable housing and transportation. In addition to numerous residents, I have family that is in need of affordable housing and reliable transportation.
Community volunteers, representation from public safety and council can work together to find strategies through research, town halls and focus groups to help determine public safety priorities and goals.

From there we can leverage existing networks to help foster growth and commitment from the community as well as find funding from the city if necessary. If funding is required, there would have to be goals set to maintain sustainability for long-term success.
