Passing a robust Capitol Investment bill (bonding) that supports the essential infrastructure needs of our state, our higher ed institutions and our communities: clean water, transit, roads, parks, affordable housing.

Earned sick and safe time for all workers. During covid, we’ve seen how important this is as well as paid family & medical leave. Ultimately I'd like to see Universal Healthcare

A pension plan for low wage workers. I’ve been serving on the pension commission for the past 15 years—so I understand how important it is for workers to have pension security after retirement.
Elect a Minnesota Secretary of State who believes in order to safeguard democracy, we need to ensure that all citizens can feely and easily vote. Elect a majority in the House & Senate that also believe in free and fair elections.
1. fully fund our schools to include the cross subsides for special education and English language learners 2. Make home ownership a reality for more BIPOC families 3. Continue supporting our BIPOC non-profits with operational funding and infrastructure support. 4. Vigorously enforce our anti-discrimination laws 5. Provide free community college 6. the state should be a role model in hiring diversity 7. More training programs in the trades
I am the DFL lead on the Capitol Investment Committee & if the DFL wins the Senate I likely will be chair. So funding our infrastructure needs in a consistent way & the jobs created will help keep our economy humming. I really don't know what a state legislature can do about inflation. Its a national, even international problem. Supporting those most impacted with food, housing & energy costs - seniors, low income, children
We have a long way to go. Lets start with passing red flag laws, close the background check loopholes, raise the gun buying age to 21, outlaw all military style weapons such as AR-15s, require gun safety classes, & that guns be kept in gun safes. Illegal guns are a real problem and I've not heard a good solution for those.
