Having lived in the east metro for 18 years, I know Oakdale and its community very well.

Professionally, I have worked in business management for over 15 years. I also have a Masters degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration, which will be important in helping govern our city and its budgets.

Personally, I am a family man with a wife and three kids who are very active in the District 622 public schools. I have volunteered as a Scout leader for over six years and have served on the board of directors for an Oakdale nonprofit for four years. In addition, my wife and I are Washington County foster parents.

Using my experience, training and passions as a guide, I feel I am better equipped to lead Oakdale than any other candidate.
My priorities would be to prioritize funding for public safety as the city grows, focus on responsible budgeting for city growth, and increase interaction with citizens to promote transparency and steady dialogue for future developments.

As Oakdale has grown and expanded, so have crime rates, which is a common topic of concern for families in town, my own included. I want to promote proactive solutions to lower crime.

Also, maintaining taxes lower than neighboring cities is important.
Public safety is my top priority for Oakdale. Even before the election, I am meeting with the Oakdale Chief of Police to share concerns surrounding increased mental health calls, school safety and expanding crime around major highways.

I aim to promote the use of more technology to aid our law enforcement. I also support hiring community social workers to help with mental health and domestic dispute issues, free up our officers to focus on addressing organized and violent crime.
