I have 20 years of experience in the financial industry with 8 years as a manager. At Wells Fargo I established a new site in St Louis with a staff of 40, including training new managers. I worked with auditors and created training materials and programs to ensure compliance with complex government regulations. I managed a team of financial and business analysts and was responsible for a $3.6B budget.

As a leader, I focus on being transparent and treating others with dignity. Leadership means holding yourself and others accountable and having the integrity and honesty to make tough decisions - often with limited or imperfect information. I consistently show up and listen and will continue to do so for the benefit of all Otsego citizens.
Reduce property taxes, eliminate million dollar city surpluses, increase communication and transparency.

Property taxes in Otsego have increased faster than any other city in the State of Minnesota. We need to slow it down before we hit a financial brick wall in the middle of a recession. While the county cut expenses, our city found new and interesting ways to tax and spend.

The city has also had a surplus for over a decade, and it's time to respect the hard-earned money of Otsego taxpayers.
Having our city protected by the Wright County Sheriff's Office has proven benefits that include the sheriff's direct accountability to the citizens of Otsego and our contract with them keeps costs low. Having our own city police department could increase property taxes as much as 42%.

The continued safety of our community depends on maintaining a strong relationship with the WCSO. It is also important to continue to work with the County Attorney and support his commitment to prosecuting crime.
