Lanesboro City Mayor

The role of city mayor can vary from city to city. However, the mayor is usually the head of the city and may represent the city in front of other government bodies. A mayor also usually has a role in proposing a city budget that is approved by the city council. The budget influences the services the city provides to its residents. Mayors sometimes are voting members of city council, and in some cities the mayor is in charge of city council meetings.

I am the best candidate because of my resume, my history of Public Service, and my love of Lanesboro. I’m also an entrepreneur, after retirement from the Rochester Fire Department, I started a new chapter in life. I opened the Iron Horse and continue to run this successful business in Lanesboro. I work and live in Lanesboro. About me… -United States Marine. 1 Tour -24 years Rochester Fire Department (Retired -18 years EMT (RFD) -Union President Rochester Fire Local 520 -Minnesota Professional Firefighters State Representative -2015 Owner Operator Iron Horse in Lanesboro -Administrator “Watching Lanesboro” Facebook group.

I am the no nonsense, no secrets, Mayoral Candidate. “ I’ll put Lanesboro First!”
I will prioritize… 1. Transparency and improve public notification. 2. Change the Culture of Lanesboro City Government to a Public Service based model. This is my area of training and expertise. 3. I will evaluate and rescind all of the Draconian rules and regulations Mayor Resseman has imposed on the Taxpayers of Lanesboro. The FIRST rules that will be abolished is the “3 Minutes to speak” at public hearings. Public input is a gift, not a burden.
I want to start having “block parties” in the different neighborhoods of Lanesboro. “National Night Out” is a great example of how community members and their elected representatives, public servants, and first responders can meet and talk about SAFER Lanesboro. It’s also a great recruiting tool for our Volunteer Services. A safe town starts with knowing your neighbors and being informed.
