I have a lot of experience in City Government. East Gull lake is the second largest city in Cass County and does need experience. I will do my due-diligence prior to making any decisions. I will listen to everyone and treat everyone with respect. I am open to listening and discussing all sides of any issue. I want to serve East Gull Lake and be a positive influence in the future of East Gull Lake. Communication with the citizens of East Gull Lake and being also available to everyone is very important to me. Getting more citizens engaged in our community and hearing what they would like to see done and not done in our community is my main priority.
1) Making our Roads and Streets safer for Pedestrian's and bicyclist. 2) Making it safer during hunting season by recommending the use of shotguns and archery instead of the High Power Rifles in Residential areas. 3) Making sure the City does not spot Zone. Basically not trying to mix commercial in residential areas. 4) East Gull Lake is a fast growing community right now and the city needs to be working in a positive manner with this growth and its infrastructure needs with future planning.
I did work with the City of East Gull Lake City Council, and the City staff a year ago in lowering the speed limit on Green Gables Road from 30 mph to 25mph. I also worked with the City Council to budget for mobile digital radar speed signs to try to help slow traffic for our pedestrian's and bicycles traffic. They are in use and effective currently. I will continue to work for the safety of our walkers and bicyclist. Try to keep East Gull Lake a bedroom community for everyone's enjoyment.
