Información Biográfica

What qualifies you as the best candidate for this office?

What are the most pressing issues facing the public that you plan to address?

What will be your top priority if you are elected and how will you achieve that goal?

As holder of this office for 4 years, I have added new services the people of Nashville want and need from us, and I proactively made the department more tech friendly, putting it on a mobile platform for the first time -- one of the first for this type operation in the U.S. I also steered the department through the pandemic. Because we are critical to property transactions, we remained extremely busy as the growth in Nashville did not slow down for COVID19. I made critical decisions in collaboration with an experienced staff to keep operations and transactions flowing while maintaining a safe work environment. As a result, no one contracted the virus in our office, and everyone voluntarily vaccinated and boosted.
Technology is dynamic -- that is to say, it builds on itself and continually changes. I believe the challenge for government is not just to keep up, but to be on the cusp of change in providing ever more convenient AND secure service to the people who elect us. I have committed adequate staff and resources so that our operations can lead in the latest technological conveniences and deliver them in the most secure way possible. I believe we can maintain the integrity that our office is known for and still provide efficient and reliable services. The payoff is not only satisfied customers, but efficient operations, effective management of resources, and maximizing contributions to state and local general funds for the public benefit.
Again, I think government must set the standard for the best use of the latest technology. And I believe we can do this as we nurture and build the best personnel in the public sector. I will commit to this on three levels: 1. Continue to maintain a staff with a high level of experience and provide them the best and most innovative training and professional development available. 2. Build on that foundation by cultivating new, forward-thinking technology talent as part of our staff. 3. Stay on the ultimate dual course: Serving the public in the most accessible and cost-efficient way, and providing a place to work that is equitable and exciting.
