I wish to continue the work I began 15 years ago. I have prosecuted some of the most violent offenders in our community. Violent crime is on the rise in our country, our state, and our communities. I possess the experience and ability necessary to train, teach, and lead the attorneys and support staff personnel in competently and effectively seeking justice for victim's and their families.
I have 15 years experience as an Assistant District Attorney including the last 5 months as the District Attorney after having been appointed the position by Governor Bill Lee in November 2021. As an Assistant District Attorney I prosecuted every type of criminal violation. Primarily, my caseload focused on violent crimes including murder, kidnapping, robbery, rape, child abuse, and child sex abuse. As District Attorney I am responsible for the daily operation of the District Attorney's Office. I have hired 3 attorneys 1 support staff personnel. Three of the 4 new hires are women.
My top priority will remain the same as it has been for the last 15 years--to make this community safe by prosecuting and removing violent offenders from our neighborhoods. I will continue to encourage rehabilitation opportunities for those addicted to illegal drugs and prosecute distributors of dangerous drugs such as fentanyl and heroin.

I am running for District Attorney to bring accountability, efficiency, and transparency to our justice system. We must be tough on violent offenders to protect our community from dangerous criminals. We must fight for justice for victims and give them a voice. I also pledge to make our justice system more efficient by implementing streamlining procedures to deliver justice swiftly and fairly in every case. Finally, I will implement measures to increase transparency to keep the public informed regarding news and information concerning the office.
My background is primarily in the realm of criminal law and litigation, and I have 14 years of total legal experience. For eight of those years, I served on active duty with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG), and I still serve as a JAG Officer in the Army Reserve. On active duty, I served as a prosecutor, defense counsel, and eventually as senior prosecutor. I have direct experience leading and training a team of prosecutors. After leaving active duty, I litigated drug cases with the TN Department of Health, and I currently serve as Assistant City Attorney in Clarksville. I want to bring my leadership skills and experience and put them to work for our residents to keep our communities safe.
My top priority will be to address violent crime. We must prosecute violent offenses to the fullest to keep our communities and our families safe. We must ensure that violent offenders know they will be held accountable under the law. Other priorities include theft crimes, special victim crimes, domestic violence, and drug offenses. We must implement a comprehensive and specialized approach to handle all these issues in a way that upholds the law as written and administers the law fairly, equally, and consistently. My pledge to you is that I will do just that.
