Main responsibility of a County Commissioner is to be transparent and responsive to the constituents you serve. Having served previously as a Commissioner you deal with issues that affect constituents directly. It is important to communicate with constituents so that they are aware of what is going on in their local government.
My first goal is to continue efforts I started to ensure school safety. My second goal is to do what I can to continue to improve the IEP/ 504 programs in our schools.
I have already served on the TCCA education committee where we approved and advocated for legislation that helped to improve the IEP/504 process in our schools that recently was turned into state law. I will continue those efforts by advocating heavily to keep the process moving forward.

County Commissioners represent the voice of their constituents in local government policy-making. Therefore it's vital that they are accessible to those residents, and legislate on their behalf. A Commissioner must weigh the cost of their decisions on not just the taxpayers, but on the local environment. They must consider the impact on the history and future of the county. They must be reliable attendees of Commission meetings. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner, and have respectful dialogue with fellow Commissioners; both those with whom they agree and disagree. Most importantly, they must never allow special interests to overshadow the will of their constituents.
I would like to scrutinize the county budget and find (and reduce) the wasteful spending of our tax dollars. We have an enormous cash-on-hand in Montgomery County. Simply put, we are one of the cash-richest counties in one of the richest cash-surplus states in America. Hundreds of millions of dollars sit in the county's bank account while residents are punished with wheel taxes and sky-high consumption tax. Despite this wealth, we supposedly struggle to find funding for schools. Another goal is the reinvestment in (and expansion of) our Waste Management and Disposal branches, as well as our Animal Control and our Shelter. The latter is badly underfunded and relies too much on the generosity of families like ours to maintain operation.
By making it clear upon election that I am not at the disposal of the land barons, bankers, building contractors and realtors who run this county. I am a truly Independent operator and I am not a politician. I have worked in factories for my entire professional career, and I am not accepting any donations for this campaign. I will make it my mission as Commissioner to speak for District 2 constituents, who have loudly proclaimed that they have had enough (more than enough) of our local government allowing the destruction of our rock walls, the clearing of our forests, and the paving-over of every farm field in order to enrich the Establishment of Montgomery County. I will be the voice of reason and restraint in the County Commission.
