I was elected to Crystal City Council in 2018. I have really enjoyed my time on the council and look forward to continuing the work. I am proud of the work I have done and want to see several projects to completion. Crystal is a great community with quiet neighborhoods, wonderful parks, and unique businesses. Houses are affordable, we are close to everything here – Minneapolis, Three Rivers Parks, great neighborhood libraries. Lots of places to work and play. My husband and I have been Crystal residents for 29 years and have raised our sons in this great community.

During my time on the Council, I have gained experience and made connections with lots of residents. I am the best candidate for this position.
I want to continue the work on the new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission. It’s beginning, and I want to help guide its formation so that it’s effective and functions to make our community better for all of us. I want to see the Blue Line Extension further. With the projected growth of the metro area and our climate, the time for building infrastructure is now. I want to continue working with neighbors, whether promoting safety to securing a grant for a backyard chicken workshop.
We have a great Police Department here. Our leader, Chief Stephanie Revering does a great job promoting a community-involved, public service approach to policing. She developed a positive atmosphere in our department. We don’t have the recruiting problems that are plaguing other communities. I will continue working with residents to participate in neighborhood groups and other ways to connect. We don’t have to be best friends with our neighbors, but we’re all better off if we know each other.
