I offer both breadth and depth of experience. I am a 29-year resident of Eagan, a small business owner, and a former Army officer. I have spent over 20 years in public service to Eagan, and have the experience and connections needed to be an effective leader.

Moreover, in recent years, Eagan government received 90%+ approval ratings from both residents and businesses. This is indicative of strong public support for the current management team and practices. I will provide continuity of leadership, and will maintain the community standards and practices that have lead to Eagan's success.

I have a proven track record of environmentally responsible, inclusive, ethical, and fiscally conservative action, and intend to continue this work.
The purpose of municipal government is to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of its citizens. Quality open space, solid infrastructure, and adequately funded public safety services are integral to achieving these goals.

All of this requires secure and stable funding, so I will work to ensure efficient service provision and a robust tax base.

Finally, I will also make certain that our decision-making processes are open, equitable, and accessible to input from our entire community.
I will continue to work very closely with our police and fire departments to make the investments in equipment, staffing, and training needed to maintain our high-quality public safety services.

I will also make sure that our public safety staffing levels and operational methodology continue to be aligned with the needs and expectations of our community. As Eagan continues to grow and change, our service provision models should continue to follow evolving best practices.

During my Council tenure, Eagan has been continually recognized for innovation, prudent fiscal management, budget transparency, and citizen engagement. On the MVTA Board (past chair) and the Suburban Transit Association Board (past chair), and as a member of the Transportation Advisory Board, I have successfully represented the City in the regional transit and transportation decision-making process, ensuring that Eagan taxpayers get their fair share of funding for operations, infrastructure, and capital improvements. I have demonstrated regional leadership as president of Metro Cities and a League of Minnesota Cities Board member. These results warrant my continued Council service and the opportunity to achieve similar future performance.
Continue to provide high-quality, cost-effective public safety and other services. This is the Council’s primary objective. Achieve race equity and inclusion in all City services, programs, policies, and budgetary decisions and promote race equity and inclusion throughout the community. All of us expect and deserve equitable treatment. Implement additional regionally recognized sustainability initiatives with dedicated supporting resources. Residents value green space and sustainable practices
Nine in ten residents view public safety positively. We’ve committed to increased investment in police officers and upgraded facilities and technology and utilized state investments to help keep neighborhoods safe. Our police are reaching out to the community, expanding cadet recruitment programs, recruiting nontraditional law enforcement candidates, and proactively training officers in de-escalation tactics and responding to mental health crises to appropriately respond to public safety issues.
