I am from Sauk Rapids. I graduated from Sauk Rapids-Rice High School and my wife currently works in the school district. With being from Sauk Rapids, and currently raising a young family here I feel I am in touch with the potential needs of the community. This goes the same for my wife working in the school district. The heart of the community is in the school district. Understanding the communities needs as a whole comes with listening to what is going on in the school district. I am willing to listen to the voices of the community to make people feel like Sauk Rapids is a desired place to be.
Being proactive in finding ways the city can manage budgets and find ways we can ease the burden on our taxpayers.

Partnering with our school board will be a priority. I would like to see a committee made up of school board members, city council members, and school teachers.

I recently did a ride-along with the Sauk Rapids Police department. Doing a monthly or quarterly ride along with our police department is something I would commit to.
I would like to learn more about the police department, fire department, and EMTs. I plan to commit to doing a ride-along once a month or quarter to better understand what is going on in our community and ways to support our police. If the staffing for our police, fire, and EMTs can be where it is supposed to be, planning more community events for citizens to spend time with our law enforcement and others is the right step in bridging any gaps. Plan more than one “National” Night Out.
