Why are you the best candidate for this position? (750 characters)

If elected, what will your top three priorities be and why? (500 characters)

How will you work with your community to promote public safety in our neighborhoods? (500 characters)

For our city to succeed public safety is our #1 priority. We need to feel safe, be confident in our quality of life, know our neighbors, and look after one another. People want to live in and visit clean cities. We need to keep the city clean and make entities responsible for their litter, including shopping carts. The city must be fiscally responsible, especially in a time of high inflation. We must pay attention to the annual tax levy and make sure that we do not incur debt that would impact our AA bond rating. We must explore all ways to partner with our neighboring governmental units to share services and save tax funds. My community work and my work as a community development professional lends me the tools to make it happen.
Support for maintaining policing levels and budgets. Target criminal activity and react to timely issues like catalytic converter theft to help quality of life. Establishment of a group of rental housing occupants and stakeholders to make ongoing reports to the city to share current problems and offer recommendations for solving them. Keep rental housing standards and our rental density ordinance. Keep the city clean through volunteer efforts and sentenced to serve crews to save tax money.
My three top priorities work together. We can facilitate safety through adequate patrolling, investigative work, and people looking out for each other. Explore more use of cameras and promoting home and business installation of cameras that record activity on streets and neighboring property. My second priority of interaction with rental stakeholders should allow for security and safety issues to be exposed early. Lastly, crimes are less likely to happen in cities that are clean and kept.
