I have brought a strategic viewpoint during my tenure as Board Supervisor, preferring to build consensus through open and collaborative discussions. I consistently ask clarifying questions to better understand Township interests and fully appreciate others' points of view before making decisions, and always focus on long-term benefits to the entire Township. I have used my background in financial operations to provide meaningful perspectives when setting the past four operating budgets and tax levies, along with evaluating the potential payback timeframe for capital investment outlays. I also have leveraged my experience on local non-profit boards to represent different voices. I am committed to making my community a better place to live.
First is continued fiscal stewardship through responsible tax levies and expenditures, to ensure the most efficient use of resident funds. Second is maintaining quality of life improvements through capital investments and municipal partnerships, to realize long-term benefits for residents and continued public safety for our community. Finally is promoting resident and local business participation in Township governance, to encourage varied perspectives and broad-based community involvement.
Continue the Board's thoughtful process of setting tax levies, planning development, upgrading infrastructure, and managing strategic partnerships to ensure residents enjoy a good quality of life in the Township. The 10-year Pavement Management Plan safeguards 40+ miles of Township roads. Investments in testing and treatment protect our water quality. Finally, collaboration with Ramsey County Sherriff and White Bear Lake Fire departments actively promote public safety for our community.
